Metal Carving
The skill of metal caving has a long history among the metal hand craft and their beginning is the latter part of the Kofun period. The early days, their skills were shown by accessories: crowns, Kanzashi(Hair stick) and harnessies.
Flexible ideas and new design was appeared in Genroku period of Edo. So that, the daily necessities: smoking pipes, Netsuke was expanded.
There are containers, ornaments, accessories, tools for Buddha is main thing of the metal caving. They have good quality and they can bring out their own taste of material. Their skills are passed down until now.
